2024 SEASON
SNETTERTON
CATERHAM SEVEN UK
CHAMPIONSHIP
13th - 14th April 2024
This was the start of a tricky weekend for us. After a problem with the car, we qualified in 17th place, which was not ideal but we managed to fight our way up to 11th place by the end of the first race.
Started the second race in 11th place and worked our way up to 10th when the race was red flagged, thankfully no one was hurt.
The third race was going well and we worked our way up to 8th place when another driver hit me, even though I managed to get the car back on the circuit I had considerable damage and was unable to maintain my position ending the weekend in 14th place.
Hopefully, I have a better weekend next time.

AMERICAN SPEED FEST
8th & 9th June 2024
First time out this year with this car. Started well, qualified
Car was running a little sluggish and the weather certainly didn't help. We qualified among the pack but managed to fight our way up to 3rd overall and 2nd in class.
Had a technical issue with the clutch and unfortunately were unable to continue. Looking onwards and upwards.

Looking forward to going racing against the TVRs with the big American Muscle Car. Started well and qualified 8th, but 1st in our class.
First race, worked our way up to 5th position but a win in our class, with a few close battles with the cars in front.
Second race, this was a close race again and I was chasing two TVRs in front of me, trying to hold on to their bumper, a little tricky as they don't weigh as much as the Camero, however, we gave them a good run for their money. Unfortunately, 3 corners from the end of the last lap I had a tyre blow out and ended up in the gravel. A disappointing end to say the least.
Would like to thank everyone who came and spoke to me including the TVR drivers who congratulated me on giving them a good race.
COWES / TORQUAY / COWES
OFFSHORE POWER BOAT RACING
23rd - 25th August 2024
Well, what can we say about this race? Choppy weather was an understatement, true British Bank Holiday weather! We had a good start to the race heading to Torquay from Cowes. Conditions were hard and we completed the 1st leg to Torquay in 02:05:23 winning our class and coming 5th overall. We did this with an average speed of 48mph which is nearly half of our capacity, showing exactly how rough the water was. After our obligatory stop at Torquay and on starting our next leg we discovered that one of the exhausts had broken and we were unable to continue the return leg, having unfortunately to retire from the race. To say that it was an experience would be an understatement.

Had a good time this weekend. Qualified in 14th place and managed to make up places to finish in 7th place at the end of race 1.
Race 2, started in 7 position and had a few issues with the car and finished in 10th position. Race 3 was a hard-fought race and I worked my way up to finish in 5th position.
Overall a good weekends racing.

AMERICAN THEMED EVENT
BERNIE'S V8S
7th & 8th September 2024
What a weekend this was going to be with over 40 cars qualifying, however, unfortunately, we had an issue with a part that decided to shatter and I drove through the night to Guildford (300 miles away) to have another machined at CNC, who we are extremely grateful to as they opened their workshop to machine it throughout the night. We were looking forward to entering, even if it was without a qualifying lap, however, the car had other ideas and we had a further issue with our brakes, I tried turning and carried straight on. Here's to our next adventure with Bernie's V8.

CATERHAM SEVEN UK
CHAMPIONSHIP
19th & 20th October 2024
Started off with a difficult qualifying session, due to the weather and a couple of technical issues and ended up qualifying in 14 place.
In the 1st race, I made a good start and worked my way up to 7th place, having some good battles along the way.
For the 2nd race, I was moved up to 6th place, however, I had a few more issues and ended up in 7th place.
In the 3rd race I was in a good position with some close racing in 7th place, however, I got tagged and ended up aquaplaning, coming off, rejoining and managing to hold on to 11th place.
CADWELL PARK
SUPERLITE CHAMPIONSHIP
2nd November 2024
We have not raced the Superlite for a couple of years, so we have been looking forward to catching up with everyone.
Had a good practice session and qualified in 1st place.
Had a good tussle with Duncan and managed to finish in 1st place. The second race was another good race and we held onto first position again.
Race three started with Duncan just getting a head of me off the start, but towards the end of the race, I managed to overtake him and get another win. So all in all a good days racing winning all three races.
